The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Port Orchard, WA, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders who advocate for a just and sustainable food system. Our program empowers participants through comprehensive training in organic farming, food justice, and ecological literacy, all aimed at fostering social, environmental, and economic equity. We provide invaluable hands-on experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where Fellows engage in growing diversified crops, maintaining community gardens, and supporting local farmers' markets. Our approach emphasizes accessibility, as we do not charge tuition, ensuring that all passionate individuals can participate. After six months of immersive learning, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to apply their skills and make a tangible impact in their communities. Applications are open until March, with the fellowship experience running from May to October each year.
