Joseph Montalbo is a dedicated drug and alcohol counselor with a rich history in the field of substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, both in Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and residential settings. Since 1993, he has served in a behavior modification center in California, where he earned a Therapeutic Communities of America (TCW) certification. Joseph’s expertise is further reinforced by his CADC II certification from the Certification Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors. He is deeply passionate about supporting individuals as they turn their lives around, restore family connections, and break free from the cycles of addiction. Understanding addiction as a disease that impacts not just the individual, but their entire family, Joseph works with a variety of clients, including those with co-occurring disorders such as depression and alcohol abuse. He is actively involved in his community, enjoying NA conventions, participating in clean and sober softball with CSSA, and leading IOP groups and one-on-one sessions. Through his work, Joseph strives to illuminate the connections between co-occurring disorders and addiction recovery, empowering individuals to overcome their challenges.
