The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Othello, WA, is dedicated to empowering individuals to become passionate advocates for a just food system that values social equity, environmental sustainability, and economic resilience. This unique program offers comprehensive organic food system education without tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all participants. Fellows engage in hands-on learning experiences at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they cultivate and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education, and maintain thriving community and school gardens. By promoting food and ecological literacy, supporting farmers markets, and developing effective distribution channels, Fellows directly contribute to increasing access to healthy foods in their communities. Following their six-month immersive training, participants embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to enact real change.
