Dr. Aliisa Breisch is a dedicated psychologist with a PsyD and MA from the Washington School of Professional Psychology, who has had the privilege of assisting individuals and families navigating a variety of challenges, including trauma, grief and loss, addiction, mood disorders, anxiety, self-esteem and identity issues, and relationship difficulties. Her expertise extends to providing psychological assessments for children and adolescents, with a specialization in evaluating Autism, learning and intellectual disabilities, as well as offering general diagnostic clarification. Dr. Breisch believes that the key to successful therapy lies in a strong collaboration to establish and achieve treatment goals and aspirations. Thus, she places great emphasis on constructing a safe, trusting, and collaborative therapeutic relationship, recognizing that true change can only unfold in such an environment. Her therapeutic approach is primarily guided by Advanced Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), which focuses on alleviating the sense of isolation stemming from the challenges of human connectivity, integrating principles from interpersonal neurobiology, attachment theory, emotion theory, and body-focused approaches.
