The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Mount Vernon, WA, is dedicated to cultivating a just and resilient food system through hands-on training and empowerment. Our program offers aspiring advocates the opportunity to engage in comprehensive organic food system education, enabling them to become effective teachers and community leaders. During the six-month residential fellowship at our Allegheny Farm Campus, participants immerse themselves in sustainable farming practices while focusing on vital initiatives like growing diversified crops, conducting innovative health education sessions, and fostering food literacy in schools. The fellowship is tuition-free to ensure accessibility and inclusivity for all. Following this transformative experience, fellows enter a Community Action Year, applying their skills alongside regional non-profit partners to support initiatives that strengthen local food access and enhance community health.
