The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Moses Lake, WA, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders who are passionate about creating equitable and sustainable food systems. Through an immersive six-month program at the Allegheny Farm, Fellows engage in hands-on learning and advocacy work that emphasizes social, environmental, and economic justice in agriculture. Our unique curriculum covers organic farming practices, community food education, and the development of local food initiatives, which include managing community gardens, supporting farmers markets, and enhancing access to healthy foods. We believe in accessibility; therefore, the Fellowship is offered at no tuition cost to our participants. After their initial training, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profits to apply their skills and knowledge in meaningful ways. Prospective applicants are encouraged to complete their application by March for the program that runs from May to October.
