At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Lacey, WA, we are committed to cultivating a just food system that balances social, environmental, and economic principles. Our program empowers passionate individuals as they become educators and advocates for sustainable practices in agriculture. We offer comprehensive organic food system education without tuition fees to ensure accessibility. Fellows engage in hands-on learning through experiences at our residential farm, where they grow and market diverse crops, implement community health education, maintain gardens, and champion food literacy in schools. Throughout their journey, they actively support farmers markets and develop vital distribution channels to enhance access to healthy foods. As they transition to a Community Action Year, our Fellows partner with local non-profits to put their training into action. Applications are accepted until March, with the program running from May to October, providing inspiring opportunities for lasting impact in our communities.
