Cindy Kay Rushin-Gallagher, LMHC, is a seasoned counselor with 30 years of experience as a dedicated Sex Therapist in private practice. She has successfully engaged with a diverse range of clients, addressing various relationship dynamics, sexual problems, and intimacy issues. Cindy offers a compassionate, safe environment where clients can discuss, explore, and find solutions to their challenges. Her approach to Sex Therapy varies from short-term engagements that may last 1 to 6 months, often incorporating sexual education and fostering the experience of pleasure, to longer-term therapy lasting 1 to 2 years, which tends to address more complex relational dynamics, unhealthy beliefs about sexuality, anxiety, attachment issues stemming from childhood, unresolved grief, trauma recovery, and the important task of recognizing and expressing sexual needs and desires. Certified as a Sex Therapist by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) for 18 years and a Certified Sex Therapy Supervisor since 2006, Cindy is committed to understanding the unique wants and needs of each individual she works with, guiding them towards meaningful solutions.
