The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Ellensburg, WA, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates and educators who will drive a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program empowers selected Fellows through comprehensive organic food system education without tuition costs, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring leaders. Over a six-month experiential period at our farm, participants engage in hands-on learning while collaborating with community partners to grow and distribute diversified crops, implement innovative health education programs, and maintain local gardens. Fellows also enhance food and ecological literacy in schools and support farmers markets alongside direct-to-consumer efforts, all while developing essential distribution channels for healthier food access. Following their immersive training, each Fellow embarks on a Community Action Year, applying their skills in partnership with regional non-profits to create meaningful impact. Applications are accepted until March, with fellowship experiences typically running from May to October.
