At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship on Camano Island, WA, we are dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders dedicated to a food system that emphasizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program provides hands-on training and mentorship without tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring Fellows. Participants engage in a six-month immersive experience at our farm campus, learning about organic food systems and acquiring vital skills to become advocates and educators in their communities. Throughout their journey, Fellows work on diverse agricultural initiatives, conduct educational sessions that innovate health care practices, maintain community gardens, and enhance food and ecological literacy in local schools. By supporting farmers markets and programs that connect consumers directly with produce, they are vital to advancing food access initiatives. After their initial training, each Fellow embarks on a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge through partnerships with regional non-profit organizations, promoting healthy food systems and inclusivity. We invite passionate individuals to apply and join us in our mission to empower communities through sustainable agriculture and equitable food practices.
