Lucy Banic, LMHCA, is a skilled mental health counselor with a rich educational background, beginning her journey in British Columbia, Canada. Since 2017, she has been providing compassionate counseling services in Washington state. Lucy earned her BA in Psychology from Simon Fraser University in 2010, followed by an MA in Clinical Counseling at City University in Seattle in 2014. She has undergone advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) through the Harborview Center for Sexual Assault and Traumatic Stress and has experience utilizing elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), alongside narrative therapy, emotion-focused strategies, and expressive art therapy techniques. With a deep passion for working with children, youth, and their families, Lucy is dedicated to supporting clients through a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, communication difficulties, identity issues, and self-esteem enhancement. She believes that warmth, acceptance, and empathy form the foundation of a positive therapeutic relationship and strives to cultivate an environment of safety and trust where each client's voice is heard and valued.
