The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based on Bainbridge Island, WA, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. Our fellowship supports and trains individuals to become passionate advocates for a food system that is equitable, sustainable, and economically viable. Through experiential learning at the Allegheny Farm Campus in Highland County, VA, fellows engage in organic farming practices, community education, and innovative health care initiatives. Participants work to grow and distribute diverse crops, maintain gardens, and enhance food and ecological literacy in schools. We believe in accessibility and do not charge tuition, furthering our commitment to empower fellows to mentor future generations and partner with regional non-profits to expand access to healthy food. Applicants are encouraged to apply by March for the fellowship that runs from May to October, where they can make a tangible impact in their communities while learning essential agricultural and advocacy skills.
