Heather Leach, a licensed professional counselor with an MA and LPC, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience/Psychology from Tulane University in 2008, followed by extensive master’s work in Neuroscience and a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2012. With 18 years in the mental health field, Heather specializes in treating PTSD, Complex PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Dissociative trauma, and Eating Disorders. Her clinical expertise is further enriched by her extensive work in abuse and trauma, as well as an understanding of the neurological etiology of trauma-related disorders. Notably certified in EMDR through EMDRIA and currently a Consultant/Facilitator in Training, Heather expertly guides clients through their healing journey. A trauma specialist, she predominantly works with adults over 18, integrating her therapy dogs to create a unique therapeutic experience. Passionate about her work, Heather studies under Farnsworth Lobenstine and is a part of the EMDRIA and the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation. Having personally navigated her own journey of trauma and change, she fosters a safe, positive environment for clients to explore, challenge, heal, and grow, empowering them to find peace and hope in their lives.
