The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Rocky Mount, VA, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this Fellowship empowers participants through immersive training and hands-on experiences, promoting a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Our program offers comprehensive organic food system education, enabling Fellows to advocate for healthier communities. Throughout a six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops, developing school gardens, teaching food and ecological literacy, and collaborating with local non-profits to enhance food access initiatives. By not charging tuition, we ensure the Fellowship is accessible to all passionate individuals committed to fostering equitable food systems.
