MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Powhatan, VA, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through comprehensive weight management and health promotion initiatives. Our mission is to screen every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities annually for obesity and connect them with customized weight management services that align with their unique needs and preferences. We offer a variety of care options, including group sessions, telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE!, which provides in-home support through messaging and clinician contact as required. For those who prefer self-guided weight management, our MOVE! Coach mobile app is available, along with access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans who continue to face challenges after participating in MOVE!.
