The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program in Galax, VA, is dedicated to supporting individuals recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes through comprehensive education and community engagement. Over the course of 12 months, participants benefit from a variety of resources designed to empower them in managing their condition, including six informative e-booklets tailored to their needs, a monthly e-newsletter with seasonal tips in both English and Spanish, and insights into local community events. Participants who wish to deepen their understanding can opt in to a monthly Q&A series with diabetes experts, where they can pose questions about diabetes management and heart health, all while accessing valuable giveaways that enhance their journey towards better health.
