Located in Emporia, VA, the PRS Recovery Academy Day Program is dedicated to empowering individuals on their recovery journey through a comprehensive psycho-educational curriculum. Our program fosters a supportive environment where clients can focus on their recovery goals while embracing their identity as students in recovery. We offer a range of courses, including Anger Management, Anxiety Management, and Coping Skills, alongside practical life skills such as Job Talk, Nutrition, and Money Management. Through our engaging curriculum, participants also explore topics like Grief and Loss related to mental illness, Spirituality, and Stress Management, all designed to facilitate a holistic approach to recovery. Clients attend the program for 3-5 hours a day, 3-5 days a week, allowing them to integrate meaningful community alternatives such as work, volunteering, and education into their recovery process. Thanks to the HOPE Fund, we ensure that our services are accessible to individuals who do not qualify for Medicaid or public assistance, reaffirming our commitment to making recovery possible for everyone.
