The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Saratoga Springs, UT is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators dedicated to building a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system. Through a comprehensive program that includes hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, selected Fellows engage in a six-month immersive experience, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their skills with regional non-profit organizations. This fellowship emphasizes the importance of organic food system education and provides opportunities for individuals to grow and distribute diverse crops, maintain community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy in schools. By participating in farmers markets and supporting direct-to-consumer initiatives, Fellows develop solutions for increasing access to healthy foods while empowering their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
