At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Salem, UT, we are dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders who advocate for food systems that prioritize social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers a no-tuition structure to ensure that anyone passionate about sustainable agriculture can participate. Over the course of six immersive months, selected Fellows will engage in hands-on learning and training at Allegheny Farm, where they will gain deep insights into organic farming practices, community gardening, and food justice initiatives. Following this experiential learning, participants will embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to implement their knowledge and skills. From growing diverse crops and running farmers markets to teaching food literacy in schools, our Fellows are equipped to make tangible impacts in their communities. Applications for the fellowship must be submitted by March of each year, with the program running from May to October, providing ample opportunity for meaningful growth and contribution to a more equitable food system.
