At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Provo, UT, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just food system. Our program empowers selected Fellows through comprehensive training focused on social, environmental, and economic justice in food systems. We provide a tuition-free experience, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring leaders. Over a six-month immersive residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus in Highland County, VA, participants engage in organic food system education, collaborate with community partners, and learn to grow and distribute diverse crops while implementing innovative health care education. Fellows will also gain hands-on experience in maintaining school and community gardens, enhancing food and ecological literacy, supporting local farmers markets, and developing channels for healthier food access. Following their residency, they embark on a Community Action Year, putting their knowledge into practice with regional non-profit organizations. Applications are open until March before the program runs from May to October, creating impactful change in food systems and community resilience.
