Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI)
Payson, UT US
At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Payson, UT, we are dedicated to training and empowering passionate individuals to become advocates and educators for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic well-being. Our Fellowship offers hands-on, organic food system education, allowing selected Fellows to fully immerse themselves in a six-month experiential learning program at our campus. During this time, participants engage in meaningful projects such as growing and distributing diverse crops, supporting community gardens, and integrating food literacy into educational settings. By collaborating with regional non-profits and participating in a Community Action Year, Fellows further their impact on local food systems through initiatives like farmers markets and health-focused educational sessions. Our commitment to accessibility is evident as we do not charge tuition, ensuring that anyone passionate about creating a better food system can join us. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
