Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI)
Mount Pleasant, UT US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Mount Pleasant, UT, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. Through hands-on training and support, we empower our Fellows to advocate for equitable, environmentally sound, and economically viable food practices. Our program provides free access to education focused on organic farming and food system advocacy, ensuring that opportunities are available to all. Throughout this fellowship, participants engage in meaningful partnerships to grow diverse crops, promote community gardens, and integrate food literacy into educational settings. Our Fellows also play a crucial role in bolstering local farmers' markets and enhancing access to nutritious foods within underserved communities. The fellowship includes a six-month immersive experience at our campus, culminating in a Community Action Year where Fellows implement their knowledge with regional non-profits. Applications for this transformative fellowship are accepted until March, with the program running from May to October each year.
