Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI)
Monticello, UT US
At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Monticello, UT, we are dedicated to training and empowering the next generation of advocates for a just food system. Our program provides a comprehensive, tuition-free Farm and Food Study that emphasizes social, environmental, and economic justice within the agricultural community. Over six months at our immersive Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in hands-on learning experiences that cover organic food system education, crop production, and community engagement. Participants will work on diverse market-style farms, conduct innovative health education sessions, and enhance food literacy in local schools. Our mission extends beyond training as we foster connections between Fellows and regional non-profits, ensuring they can lead impactful projects, support community gardens, and expand access to healthy foods through farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives. Applications are open until March each year for the program that runs from May to October.
