Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI)
Montezuma Creek, UT US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Montezuma Creek, UT, offers a transformative opportunity for individuals passionate about building a just and sustainable food system. This fellowship empowers participants through hands-on training in organic agriculture, food education, and community engagement without charging tuition, ensuring accessibility for all. Throughout the six-month experiential program, Fellows will cultivate diversified crops, coordinate educational initiatives that enhance health literacy, maintain school and community gardens, and develop direct-to-consumer channels to improve access to fresh, healthy food. Additionally, participants will support local farmers markets and engage in community food coalition activities, all while preparing to mentor future Fellows. This fellowship not only fosters a deep understanding of food systems but also enables Fellows to effect meaningful change in their communities during the subsequent Community Action Year working with regional non-profits. Applications are accepted until March each year, with programs running from May through October.
