Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI)
Lindon, UT US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Lindon, UT, is dedicated to training and empowering passionate individuals to champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers a unique, hands-on educational experience at the Allegheny Farm, where selected Fellows engage in comprehensive training focused on organic agriculture, food literacy, and community empowerment. We believe in accessibility to education; therefore, we do not charge tuition for our fellowship. Throughout this six-month immersive experience, participants work to grow and distribute diverse crops, enhance school and community gardens, implement innovative educational sessions, and support local farmers markets. Following their initial training, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, partnering with regional nonprofits to put their skills into practice, ensuring greater access to healthy foods while fostering community resilience. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October, building a brighter, more just food system for all.
