The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Lehi, UT, empowers passionate individuals to become effective advocates for a just and sustainable food system. This transformative program eliminates tuition costs to ensure accessibility, allowing Fellows to receive hands-on training in organic food system education. Participants engage in diverse activities such as cultivating diversified crops, implementing innovative health education sessions, maintaining school and community gardens, and promoting food and ecological literacy. Throughout their six-month experiential residency at AMI’s Allegheny Farm, Fellows develop essential skills and strengthen community connections. Afterward, they embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profit organizations to enhance food access and support initiatives like farmers markets and community food coalitions. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
