The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in La Verkin, UT is dedicated to fostering a new generation of leaders committed to creating a fair and sustainable food system. Through comprehensive training and mentorship, our Fellows learn to advocate for environmental, social, and economic justice within food systems. This unique program provides hands-on education focused on organic farming, enabling participants to grow and distribute diverse crops, manage community gardens, and engage in innovative health education initiatives. Fellows also play a vital role in supporting farmers markets and enhancing access to healthy foods through local partnerships. Our approach ensures that no tuition fees are charged, promoting accessibility and inclusivity within the fellowship. The experience includes a six-month immersive residency and a Community Action Year, allowing Fellows to apply their skills in collaboration with regional non-profits. Applications for this transformative program are open until March, with activities spanning from May to October.
