Kanab, UT US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Kanab, UT, is dedicated to empowering a new generation of leaders committed to creating a just and equitable food system. Through hands-on training and education, we enable our Fellows to advocate for sustainable agricultural practices and to teach others about the critical importance of food justice. Our comprehensive program offers experiential learning at the Allegheny Farm, where participants engage in organic food system education, develop community gardens, and support local farmers markets. Each Fellow is immersed in a six-month residential experience that concludes with a Community Action Year, where they apply their newfound skills with regional non-profit organizations. We believe in accessibility and therefore do not charge tuition, ensuring that everyone who is passionate about food and environmental advocacy has the opportunity to participate. Applications for our Fellowship are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
