Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI)
Huntington, UT US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Huntington, UT, is dedicated to fostering a just and sustainable food system by training and empowering future leaders. Our program offers a unique opportunity for selected Fellows to immerse themselves in an experiential, residential learning environment at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they receive comprehensive education in organic food systems. Throughout their six-month fellowship, participants actively engage in hands-on projects that promote food education, ecological literacy, and community resilience. They collaborate with local partners to grow and distribute a variety of crops, manage school and community gardens, and support farmers markets and community food initiatives. After their immersion, Fellows devote a Community Action Year, applying their skills with regional non-profits to further enhance food access and advocate for sustainable practices. By eliminating tuition fees, we strive to make this transformative fellowship accessible to all who seek to champion food justice.
