Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI)
Hill Afb, UT US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship at Hill Afb, UT, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. This transformative program, offered by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, eliminates tuition barriers to make organic food system education accessible to all. Selected Fellows engage in hands-on, experiential learning at our Allegheny Farm, where they dive into sustainable agricultural practices, community engagement, and food literacy. Participants have the opportunity to grow and distribute diverse crops, establish school and community gardens, and implement innovative health education sessions. Through partnerships with regional non-profits, Fellows spend six months focused on applying their knowledge, followed by a year of community action to enhance access to healthy foods and support local food initiatives. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
