Garland, UT US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Garland, UT, is dedicated to fostering a new generation of leaders committed to transforming our food systems into equitable and sustainable networks. We empower selected Fellows through an immersive six-month, hands-on training program at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they gain valuable insights into organic food system education. Our participants engage in meaningful partnerships to grow and distribute diverse crops, facilitate health-focused educational sessions, cultivate community gardens, and integrate food and ecological literacy in schools. Additionally, they champion access to nutritious foods through support of farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives. After their intensive training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. We believe in accessibility and inclusivity, which is why there is no tuition for the Fellowship, encouraging passionate individuals to join our mission for a more just food system. Interested applicants should submit their applications by March of the program year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
