The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Ferron, UT, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to become advocates for a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system. This unique program provides a robust, hands-on education in organic food systems without charging tuition, ensuring accessibility for all. Fellows engage in a comprehensive six-month residential experience at our campus, where they learn to grow diverse crops, implement innovative health care educational sessions, and maintain community gardens. Through this fellowship, participants also gain skills in food and ecological literacy, support local farmers markets, and develop channels for healthier food access. After their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profits to apply what they've learned and further enhance community food initiatives. Applications are encouraged by March each year for the immersive experience running from May to October.
