Enterprise, UT US
Based in Enterprise, Utah, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship at the Allegheny Mountain Institute is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a food system that is just, sustainable, and accessible. Through our immersive six-month Fellowship, selected individuals gain hands-on experience in organic food system education while living at the Allegheny Farm Campus. The program empowers Fellows to grow and distribute a diverse array of crops on a market-style farm, enhance health care through educational initiatives, maintain community gardens, and integrate food and ecological literacy into local schools. By supporting farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs, our Fellowship aims to expand access to healthy foods across the region. Following the initial training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with non-profit organizations to apply their knowledge and foster community-driven solutions. We are committed to making this impactful learning opportunity accessible to all, with no tuition fee required for participation. Applications are accepted until March each year for experiences typically running from May to October.
