Located in Centerville, UT, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Through hands-on education at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, our Fellows engage in a comprehensive six-month program that includes growing and distributing diverse organic crops, leading innovative health care educational sessions, and maintaining community gardens. We are committed to accessibility, offering this transformative experience free of tuition, and promoting food literacy by integrating it into school activities and community events. After their foundational training, Fellows dedicate a Community Action Year to collaborate with local non-profits as they champion initiatives like farmer's markets, community food coalitions, and increased access to healthy foods. Applications are accepted until March for the program running from May to October each year.
