Based in American Fork, UT, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship empowers passionate individuals to become leaders in advocating for socially, environmentally, and economically just food systems. Through hands-on training and education in organic food production, Fellows gain essential skills needed to promote food justice in their communities. Participants engage in diverse activities, such as growing and distributing crops, implementing innovative health-related educational sessions, maintaining school and community gardens, and teaching food and ecological literacy. Throughout their six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows also benefit from mentorship opportunities and collaboration with regional non-profit organizations during their Community Action Year. This transformative program, which does not charge tuition, aims to enhance access to fresh, healthy food and support the development of sustainable food systems across the region. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
