William Booth

William Booth is a dedicated State of Texas Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. He earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in social work from the University of Texas at Austin. With a diverse background that includes experience as a union representative, William is deeply motivated by his own life experiences, which inspired him to pursue a career in social work and addiction treatment. He approaches his clients with the belief that 'it's not what's wrong with you, but it's what happened to you.' His therapeutic style is strengths-based and collaborative, emphasizing the dignity of individuals as they navigate the healing process from issues such as addiction, trauma, attachment, and mood and anxiety disorders. William understands that core beliefs can lead to ineffective coping skills, as well as challenges during life transitions and with grief and loss. His extensive knowledge encompasses a variety of treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy, psychodynamic therapy, attachment-based therapy, mind-body approaches, narrative therapy, and person-centered therapies.
