Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Waxahachie, TX, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates and educators committed to developing a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. We offer a comprehensive, hands-on training program that emphasizes organic food system education and community engagement. Our Fellows engage in impactful initiatives, such as growing and distributing diverse crops, facilitating educational sessions for innovative healthcare, and supporting local farmers' markets to enhance access to healthy food. With no tuition fees, we aim to ensure that our Fellowship is accessible to all aspiring changemakers. Selected Fellows embark on a transformative six-month experiential journey at our farm, followed by a Community Action Year, where they apply their skills through partnerships with regional non-profit organizations. Applications for this enriching experience are open until March each year, with the program typically running from May to October.
