Leigh Wood is a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified School Counselor, with a deep understanding of the challenges children face in navigating their worlds. With over ten years of experience working with elementary students and teachers, she has cultivated a rich perspective from her background as both a teacher and counselor in various settings. Leigh earned her MS in Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce and her BA in Psychology from the University of North Texas, solidifying her expertise in helping children overcome stress and school-related issues. Her approach to therapy is client-centered, characterized by unconditional positive regard and empathetic listening. Leigh firmly believes in the strength of individuals to move their lives forward positively with the right support. The counseling space she provides is safe and comfortable, catering to both adults and children, and includes fully equipped areas for play therapy and sand tray therapy.
