The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Texas City, TX, is dedicated to fostering a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This transformative program sponsors, trains, and empowers Fellows to become passionate educators and advocates for sustainable agriculture. Without any tuition fees, we ensure accessibility for all aspiring leaders in the food movement. Over six immersive months at our facility, participants gain hands-on experience in organic farming, learn to cultivate diversified crops, and develop initiatives that enhance community health and food access. Our Fellows engage with school gardens, teach ecological literacy, and support local farmers markets while building vital partnerships with regional non-profits. Following their training, they embark on a Community Action Year, applying their skills and knowledge to make meaningful impacts in their communities. Applications are accepted annually until March, with experiences running from May to October, where together, we can grow a healthier food system.
