The Texas Autism Assessment and Advocacy Group is dedicated to addressing the complex needs of individuals on the Autism Spectrum. With a commitment to a multidisciplinary approach to assessment, this practice ensures that each evaluation is conducted by a Licensed Psychology Associate, boasting over 15 years of experience as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, in collaboration with a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. This combined expertise enables a unique and collaborative assessment process, targeting the multifaceted aspects of functioning that impact diagnosis. Evaluations encompass comprehensive autism, speech-language, and cognitive testing, assessing vital areas such as social/emotional development, adaptive behavior, cognitive function, social skills, receptive and expressive language, and pragmatic language development. Additionally, the group assesses for ADHD, Intellectual Disabilities, Speech-Language Disorders, and Social Communication Disorders. Beyond assessment, the Texas Autism Assessment and Advocacy Group also provides crucial educational support and school advocacy, featuring an Educational Diagnostician who offers tailored recommendations and support for families navigating 504 or Special Education services. Their mission is to empower and inform parents about these crucial processes, ensuring they fully understand both their rights and their child's rights.
