The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Sherman, TX, offers a transformative opportunity for aspiring educators and advocates dedicated to promoting a fair and sustainable food system. This fellowship empowers participants through comprehensive training in organic food systems, providing vital skills to grow and distribute diverse crops on market-style farms, implement innovative health care educational sessions, and enhance school and community gardens. Fellows engage in critical community initiatives, such as developing distribution channels for healthy foods, supporting farmers markets, and mentoring future cohorts. With no tuition fees, the program is designed to ensure accessibility and inclusivity. Throughout their six-month immersive experience at AMI’s farm campus, followed by a Community Action Year, Fellows will work alongside regional non-profits to apply their knowledge and cultivate positive change in their communities.
