The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Orange, TX, is dedicated to empowering individuals to champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through hands-on training and education in organic food systems, our Fellows become advocates for healthy, sustainable practices. The Fellowship covers all tuition costs, ensuring accessibility for all participants. During an immersive six-month residential program at Allegheny Farm, Fellows engage in a variety of initiatives, including growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing educational health care programs, maintaining community and school gardens, and enhancing food literacy in local schools. This is followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their knowledge alongside regional non-profits to foster innovative food solutions. Applications are open until March each year, with the fellowship experience typically commencing from May through October.
