Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Odessa, TX US
Located in Odessa, TX, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to fostering a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program empowers selected Fellows through immersive training at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they gain invaluable experience in organic food system education and hands-on farming practices. Without the burden of tuition fees, our Fellowship ensures accessibility for all aspiring advocates. Over six months, Fellows engage in practical learning to grow and distribute diverse crops, develop community gardens, and promote food literacy within schools. They will also support local farmers markets, enhance access to healthy foods, and mentor the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture. The Community Action Year allows Fellows to apply their knowledge in collaboration with regional non-profits, directly impacting local food systems. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
