The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in New Braunfels, TX, is dedicated to nurturing future leaders in sustainable food systems through hands-on training and empowerment. We focus on creating a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program, which is tuition-free to ensure accessibility, offers Fellows a robust education in organic farming while they gain real-world experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus in Highland County, VA. During this immersive six-month fellowship, participants engage in practical activities such as growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing health education sessions, and cultivating community gardens. Upon completion, Fellows transition into a Community Action Year where they partner with local non-profit organizations to apply their learning effectively. The application process is open until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
