Monica Lucia Egner is a dedicated bilingual therapist with over ten years of experience. A graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio, she holds a Master in Clinical Mental Health and is currently pursuing a Doctoral program in Psychology. Her therapeutic approach is tailored to her clients' individual needs, reflecting her compassionate understanding of their struggles. Monica began her career by working with victims of domestic violence and subsequently spent two years supporting immigrant families and youth facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, family conflict, couples counseling, self-harming, and delinquent behaviors. Monica's passion for her work drives her connection with clients, allowing her to empathize with their journeys. Specializing in couples therapy, family dynamics, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse, she has also gained invaluable experience in inpatient facilities, working with individuals experiencing acute mental illness. Having been born and raised in Reynosa Tamaulipas and spending much of her life in Mexico, Monica understands the unique challenges faced by the Latino population and immigrant families adapting to cultural shifts after relocating to the United States in 2010. She is committed to addressing her clients' cultural needs and is eager to support them on their path toward healing and growth.
