Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Lufkin, TX, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Our program empowers participants with hands-on experience and comprehensive education on organic food systems, ensuring they emerge as effective teachers and community leaders. Through a six-month immersive learning experience at our fellowship site, Fellows focus on sustainable agricultural practices, diversified crop production, and innovative health education. They actively engage with local partners to create community gardens, run farmers markets, promote food literacy in schools, and enhance access to healthy foods. Our commitment to accessibility means we do not charge tuition for our program, making it possible for a diverse group of individuals to join us in this important work. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October, as we together cultivate solutions for a more equitable food environment.
