Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Laredo, TX is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of food advocates and educators committed to creating a just and sustainable food system. By providing comprehensive training in organic agriculture and community engagement, this fellowship empowers individuals to lead initiatives that promote ecological literacy, enhance access to healthy foods, and support local food systems. Selected Fellows embark on a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a year of community action where they collaborate with partner organizations to implement projects such as managing community gardens, supporting farmers markets, and facilitating educational sessions that elevate food awareness. This program, which charges no tuition to ensure inclusivity, invites passionate individuals to apply and join a movement centered on equitable food access and environmental stewardship.
