The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Killeen, TX, is dedicated to cultivating future leaders in sustainable food systems. We offer a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to undergo comprehensive training that focuses on creating a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Our program is designed to be tuition-free, ensuring accessibility for all who aspire to make a difference. Fellows engage in hands-on experiences at our partner farms, where they learn to grow and distribute diversified crops, facilitate educational programs in health care, maintain community gardens, and promote food literacy in schools. As a part of their journey, each Fellow contributes to vital initiatives like supporting farmers markets and enhancing access to healthy foods through community food coalitions. Over a six-month residency on the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, our Fellows apply their skills in collaboration with regional non-profits, making a tangible impact in their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year for the fellowship that runs from May to October.
