The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Huntsville, TX, is dedicated to training and empowering passionate individuals to advocate for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Through an immersive six-month program at our Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows receive comprehensive education in organic farming and food systems, participate in community gardening initiatives, and engage in innovative health education. Our Fellows also gain hands-on experience in promoting food literacy in schools, organizing farmers markets, and developing crucial distribution channels for healthy food access. This practical training culminates in a Community Action Year, where Fellows collaborate with regional non-profit organizations to implement transformative food projects. To ensure inclusivity, we do not charge tuition for this Fellowship, inviting a diverse cohort committed to making a significant impact in their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year for the program running from May to October.
