Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Alvin, TX, is dedicated to training and empowering future leaders in sustainable food systems. This innovative program supports Fellows in becoming advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. By offering organic food system education and hands-on training, the Fellowship equips participants to grow and distribute diverse crops on market-style farms, implement educational health care initiatives, and maintain local gardens. Throughout their journey, Fellows engage in activities that promote food and ecological literacy in schools, support farmers markets, and develop distribution channels that enhance access to nutritious foods. The Fellowship combines six months of immersive education at the Allegheny Farm Campus with a Community Action Year, where they apply their learning in collaboration with regional non-profits. Our mission ensures that this transformative experience remains accessible, allowing passionate individuals to make a meaningful impact in their communities while working towards a healthier food system.
